6-1 | F Frieda Bühner

Round 3: 37th

6-4 | G Serah Williams

Instant Analysis: The Portland Fire utilized their inaugural draft to select No. 7 overall pick Iyana Martín—claiming the No. 7 draft slot after losing the coin toss to the Toronto Tempo for lottery priority. Martín is a Spanish floor general with excellent change-of-pace and playmaking ability, though she will remain overseas for the 2026 season. Second-round selection Frieda Bühner brings high-level EuroLeague experience and scoring versatility to the frontcourt. The Fire then traded third-round pick Taylor Bigby to Connecticut for Serah Williams.

One-Month Check-In: With first-round pick Iyana Martín remaining overseas, Portland’s active rookie class has leaned on second-rounder Frieda Bühner to provide scoring and depth while Serah Williams continues to develop off the bench.
