2026 WNBA Draft

Grade: B

Outstanding Trades

INCOMING: None

OUTGOING: No. 14: Traded to the Seattle Storm as part of the blockbuster three-team trade that brought Jewell Loyd to Las Vegas. 2026 2nd Round Swap (to SEA): As part of the same Loyd/Plum trade, Seattle holds the right to swap their 2026 2nd-round pick with Las Vegas. Since the Aces’ pick (No. 29) is lower than Seattle’s (No. 24), Seattle will likely decline the swap, but the option remains with the Storm.

Round 2: 29th

6-4 | F Janiah Barker

Round 3: 44th

6-1 | F Jordan Obi

Instant Analysis: The Las Vegas Aces found strong value with their two late-round selections, Janiah Barker and Jordan Obi. Barker provides length and athleticism, while Obi brings high-motor defensive presence and transition energy. These picks prioritize defensive grit and athleticism to an already championship-caliber roster.

One-Month Check-In: Neither draft pick saw the floor during the opening month of the season. Third-round selection Jordan Obi was waived prior to the regular-season opener, while second-rounder Janiah Barker was sidelined in concussion protocol after taking a hit to the head during the preseason.

2025 WNBA Draft

Grade: B-

Outstanding Trades

INCOMING: No. 13: Part of the Kelsey Plum trade involving the Sparks and Storm.

OUTGOING: No. 23: Las Vegas traded their second-round pick for Dana Evans.

Round 2: 13th

6-0 | G Aaliyah Nye

Round 3: 35th

5-10 | G Harmoni Turner

Instant Analysis: The Las Vegas Aces put together a solid draft class, earning a B- grade for their selections. Nye could be a great addition with her shooting ability, complementing the Aces’ offensive system. Turner is a strong player, but with the team’s depth at the guard spot, her path to consistent minutes may be challenging.

One-Month Check-In: Harmoni Turner was waived before the season. Aaliyah Nye is beginning to carve out a role with her shooting and floor spacing, contributing gradually in a crowded rotation.
