After going unselected in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Janelle Salaün had a breakout, MVP-winning season in Italy before signing with the Valkyries as a free agent for their inaugural 2025 season. Playing for the Italian club Famila Schio, she led them to an Italian League championship and was named Finals MVP.
Salaün is a modern, versatile forward whose skills fit well in today’s game. Offensively, she plays with tenacity and energy, does a little bit of everything, and is a capable three-point shooter. Defensively, her 6′ 2″ frame and athleticism allow her to be a multi-positional defender and rebounder.
