Prospect: Amateur athletes (NCAA or International) who have not yet entered the WNBA Draft.
Rookie: Players currently in their first official year of WNBA service.
WNBA: Active players currently signed to a roster or players with significant league experience.
Draft Rights Held: Players who were drafted by a WNBA team but are currently playing elsewhere (usually internationally). The team “owns their rights” if they decide to enter the league later—think Ajša Sivka or Annika Soltau.
Free Agent: Players who are not currently under contract with any WNBA team and are eligible to sign with any WNBA franchise.
Coach: Former players or professionals who have transitioned into a leadership, developmental, or bench role within a team’s coaching staff.
